Careless walk Sanssouci 1

Walking through the main part of the world famous park Sanssouci

Duration: 3 hours

Sure you cannot miss the favorite residence of Frederik the Great while visiting Potsdam. The palace-and-park ensemble Sanssouci is part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage. The total length of paths there is over 70 km, so you really need a guide to show you around! Join us for this fascinating walk and listen to the amazing stories about the edifices, sculptures and plants surrounding you.

Obelisk at the eastern entrance to the park (Bus X15 Stop “Friedenskirche”)

You can get here from Berlin using S Bahn (S7, End Station) or “Regio” trains up to the Main Railway station and from there with the bus X15 (stop: Friedenskirche) or by foot through the downtown (about 40 minutes from the main railway station).

Another option is to meet at the Information Center / Historical Mill near the entrance to the Sanssouci park (Buses X15 and 695; stop: “Schloss Sanssouci”)

Careless walk Sanssouci 2

Walking through the remote part of Sanssouci park and Charlottenhof.

If you are fond of walking, especially through picturesque landscapes, and have already visited the main part of Sanssouci park, this walk is for you! Visit Orangery Palace and Dragon House, cozy Paradise Garden and virgin North Garden, Weinberg and Clausberg Hills; enjoy the view of Belvedere there, have a look at magnificent Neues Palais and finish you trip with the elegant Charlottenhof.
